Architects Demystifying the ARC Process

Saturday, October 7th at 11am at the (New)burgh Porch, 15 S. Johnston Street, Newburgh.

Submitting an application to Newburgh’s Architectural Review Commission can be a daunting process. What information do you need to submit? What’s it like to present your project at an ARC meeting? Join us for a free workshop led by architects and contractors who will guide you through the application process – sharing their experiences with ARC and helping you to avoid costly and timely pitfalls! These professionals will also be available to answer specific questions you might have about your own projects and ARC applications.

The ARC is a certified agent of New York State’s Historic Preservation Office and is charged with protecting and promoting the enhancement of Newburgh's unique architectural wealth by ensuring all applications for exterior modifications within the East End Historic District or the Colonial Terraces Design District comply with established guidelines.

This program is presented as part of @archtober, NYC's annual architecture and design festival.
