Urban Archive Arrives to Newburgh

UrbanArchive.jpg

Urban Archive is a location-based mobile platform that empowers New Yorkers to learn about history where it happened. Newburgh is the first city in the Hudson Valley region to digitize its archives to the platform.

In the spirit of collaboration, Urban Archive brings together the digital collections of Newburgh’s archives in an easy-to-use resource built for public discovery and appreciation of local history, architecture, and stories.

Project partners include Newburgh Historical Society, Heritage Center, Newburgh Free Library, Southeastern Library Resource Council, and Dept of Small Intervention. Other public and private archives and collections are welcome to join this effort. Please email sam@urbanarchive.org to join the Newburgh project.
