CityMaking: Melissa Checkers

This Summer, The Fullerton will host a Citymaking Salon Series inviting authors and community stakeholders to participate in change-making dialogue. Topics were chosen based on a survey from members of Newburgh’s resident-led boards and commissions.

Author Melissa Checker of The Sustainability Myth: Environmental Gentrification and the Politics of Justice will share the insights of a changing neighborhood in Harlem. The talk will take place at Downing Urban Farm and co-hosted with Newburgh Urban Farm and Food Initiative. www.newburghurbanfarmandfood.org
