Garden + Youth Engagement Panel

Join us for an inspiring panel discussion on youth engagement and gardening that will bring together local leaders, businesses, educators, and advocates to explore the vital role of gardening in fostering community, environmental stewardship, and personal growth. From the field, how do we not only teach young people in Newburgh about their city’s significance in the world of horticulture but get them connected to it.

The panel will bring together representatives of Newburgh Free Academy’s West Campus, OneNature, Cornell Cooperative Extension, Newburgh Urban Food & Farm Initiative, and the Historical Society of Newburgh Bay & Highlands to discuss how we not only educate young people but create and offer opportunities for training, exploration, and ultimately careers in the field. We hope that students, parents, and other organizations come and join the discussion.
